LASODA CELEBRATES WINNERS OF X-STAR MUSIC CONTEST FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has said it will continue to celebrate the uniqueness of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in the State

The General Manager of Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA), Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal stated this during the presentation of cash gifts to the winners of the X-Star Online Musical Contest Award.

Speaking at the presentation which took place recently at Alausa, Mrs. Oyetunde-Lawal stated that LASODA, apart from ensuring the welfare of PWDs, also has the mandate to celebrate the uniqueness and the inherent talents of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

She commended the organisers of the talents hunt programme, X-Factor Productions for their dedication to empower and showcase the talents and creativity of Persons with Disabilities.

Mrs. Oyetunde Lawal also urged the winners to continue to strive for excellence and give in their utmost best in their musical careers, adding that there is nothing that dedication and commitment cannot achieve.

In her words, “I congratulate the winners of this competition and urge you all not to relent in your efforts to live your dreams, please maintain your unique talents and focus on your goals. I know it is not easy but with consistency and dedication you will excel”.

She restated the readiness of LASODA to work with any organization that aligns with the objectives of the Lagos State Government’s THEMES Plus Agenda.

“I am glad to see all that you are doing to provide a platform for PWDS to recognize their potential in the entertainment industry. This initiative is in line with the all-inclusive policy and programmes designed to promote the participation of PWDS and l am elated to be part of this event”, she added.

Also speaking the Director of the X-Factor Production, Mr. Godwin Abulele said the outfit will henceforth manage the talents of the 1st – 3rd winners including all those who performed excellently at the competition.

He added that the organisation is committed towards developing the artistic potential of PWDs across various entertainment disciplines by equipping PWDs with the necessary tools to thrive in the entertainment industry, and beyond.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of the competition are Jesse John Goyit, Chimaobi Paul and Fredrick Osagie.
